Minana International T/A GoodPeople is looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who is interested in gaining significant hands-on experience in the areas of communications, public relations, research, and social media management. The intern will report to the Communications Officer.
§ Drafting articles, blog posts, promotional materials, and press releases
§ Social media management (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)
§ Working as part of our Communications team
§ Assist in compiling and editing newsletter
§ Assist in internal communications
§ Support the day-to-day activities in our office
§ Other office, reception and/or administrative duties as required
§ 3rd level qualification in communications, public relations, or relevant experience.
§ Website management experience helpful
§ Graphic design, video production or digital photography skills an advantage
§ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications
§ Thorough understanding of social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube etc)
§ Strong computer skills with interest and ability to learn new software
§ Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills
§ Motivated and energetic self-starter who takes initiative
§ Ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
§ Enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills within the role
Induction, Support & Supervision
§ The Communications Intern will be supervised by the Communications Officer
§ The intern will receive an induction to the organisation
§ Interns receive initial and “on the job” training throughout the internship from their supervisor.
§ The internship will receive ongoing support and feedback from the supervisor at regular intervals.
§ The intern conducts him/herself in a professional manner
§ The intern is respectful towards all staff, clients, and other interns
§ Good time keeping
