Gerard Chimbganda Selected as a Trailblazer by the All-Ireland Business Foundation

Gerard Chimbganda has been chosen as a Trailblazer by the All-Ireland Business Foundation for services to entrepreneurship. He was nominated by an independent panel of leading academics and business experts.

The GoodPeople Founder was among 19 entrepreneurs honoured as a Trailblazer recently.

The Trailblazers are a group of outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and dedication in their respective fields, setting new standards and inspiring others in the business community.

Gerard was presented with his Certificate of Recognition as an AIBF Trailblazer by AIBF CEO Elaine Carroll at GoodPeople’s new Medical Centre in Drogheda recently.

Each Trailblazer was recognized for their remarkable achievements and received a specially tailored blazer as a symbol of this honour. This unique gesture not only celebrates their accomplishments but also signifies their trailblazing spirit and commitment to excellence.

Reacting to the news of his achievement, GoodPeople Founder, Gerard Chimbganda said:

"I am deeply honoured and humbled to be recognized as a Trailblazer by the All-Ireland Business Foundation. This recognition is not just a testament to my work but also to the incredible team at GoodPeople, whose passion and dedication have made our achievements possible. Being among such an inspiring group of entrepreneurs motivates me to continue pushing boundaries and driving innovation in our field. I am particularly proud to receive this recognition at our new Medical Centre in Drogheda, a project that reflects our commitment to enhancing community well-being. My sincere thanks go to the AIBF, the independent panel, and all those who have supported and believed in our vision. This tailored blazer is more than just a symbol; it’s a reminder of the responsibility we have to continue leading and inspiring others in the business community. I look forward to the challenges and opportunities ahead as we continue to blaze new trails together."

Deputy Chair of the AIBF Adjudication Panel, Kieran Ring, praised Gerard for his services to entrepreneurship:

“On behalf of the All Ireland Business Foundation I extend our heartfelt congratulations to Gerard and all of the Trailblazers for their outstanding achievements and remarkable contributions to the business landscape. These individuals serve as beacons of inspiration and represent the best of Irish entrepreneurship and innovation.”

Managing Director of the All-Ireland Business Foundation, Kapil Khanna, said: The accreditation, which is now held by over 700 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards but have nothing to measure them by.

He said: “We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.”
